This project is supported by funding from the NSW Government
SolarHub acknowledges the funding support from the NSW Government under the Emerging Energy Program.
This program provides grant funding to assist with the development of innovative, large-scale electricity and storage projects in NSW. With this $5.4 million grant, SolarHub will build a 6 megawatt Virtual Power Plant (VPP). To do so, we offer a point of sale discount to approximately 650 residential and small business customers to encourage battery installation, with customers required to join the VPP to receive the discount.
The point of sale discount is based on the sustained output of the inverter/battery system. For example, a 10kWh battery exporting up to 5kW would be eligible for a $4,950 discount.

Store your energy, maximize your savings
A PV solar system helps reduce your electricity consumption, but adding battery storage provides much greater savings on your power bills.
Solar production is at its best in the middle of the day, usually when no one is home. On the other hand, most of a household electricity consumption happens in the morning and in the evening, when solar PV production is minimal. These periods also are the most expensive time to use electricity.
With a battery storage solution, you can store extra energy production, and use it when you need it the most.

Trade your energy on a Virtual Power Plant
A VPP is a network of distributed solar and battery systems that work together to supply power to the grid when it is needed most.
In periods of high electricity demand, the VPP operator can access the energy in household batteries and trade it on the National Energy Market. When your battery is discharged to support the grid, you get paid for your contribution. Therefore, a VPP allows you to earn extra savings from your solar and battery system, while also helping to integrate more renewable energy in to the NSW electricity grid.
SolarHub uses ActewAGL VPP technology for this project and the discount is subject to subscribing to the ActewAGL Partner Plus plan.
